National Institute of Mental Health Schizophrenia Collaborative Study
schizophrenia.RdIn the NIMH Schizophrenia Collaborative Study, patients were randomized to receive one of four medications, either placebo or one of three different anti-psychotic drugs. The protocol indicated subjects were to then be evaluated at weeks 0, 1, 3, 6 to assess severity of illness; additionally some measurements were made at weeks 2, 4, and 5.

1= normal, not ill at all,2= borderline mentally ill,3= mildly ill,4= moderately ill,5= markedly ill,6= severely ill,7= among the most extremely ill.
